We lost our family kitty a few months ago and were searching for the perfect new addition. CNY SPCA were amazing every step of the way. The staff was not only friendly and helpful but the facilities were extremely clean and well managed. I’m so grateful we brought our little guy home with us!
Very clean, and the staff were lovely. They understood my disabilities and wants in a doggo. Now saturday I'm bringing home my baby boy ❣️ they suggested me to him and I'm so happy they did!
Staff is wonderful as well as all the rabbits, kitties & doggies! Stopped in to donate $ to all the furbabies!💕 …
The staff there was way less than helpful....in fact they were completely rude. With an approved adopt app they still didn't allow us to meet with any dog after telling us no on 3 different dogs for various different reasons ....from them being in training, to them being a pain and way too hyper.... doesn't seem like they had any type of passion to help the dogs. Their tone was condescending and unnecessary. I would recommend adopting a dog to anyone just not from there because they don't want to help you get thru the adoption process at all. I was very unhappy with this place. Really sad.....they are only sitting behind that desk being unhelpful just to collect a paycheck.... Disgraceful
very clean , pleasant atmosphere, excellent staff, Not to mention the pets Awaiting a home.. And for some of them. the first time being well taken care in their lives....
We were told they had to get my landlords permission to adopt a small house dog meanwhile two neighbors dog were barking during the phone call. We felt like “go ask your mom and dad if it’s ok you have a dog” we own our home and their are at least six dogs within 200 feet of my home but you want my landlords permission. Well good luck adopting your poor dogs that need a good home if you overlook good people because you want permission from a third party that has nothing to do with my home.
This is a hard place to rate. I know that this is a physically tough, and emotionally trying job. People for various reasons, have to leave their pets behind, and the folks at the SPCA pick up the pieces. Having said that, I think this place is a wonderful and necessary asset to the CNY community. I highly respect each and every person who either works or volunteers there.
The staff was short and the place smelled like urine even after they had sprayed down the animal rooms prior to opening. It did appear that the animals were well taken care of and let out regularly which was nice. Even though we did not find a small dog to be a companion to our Dachshund we will try again sometime soon.
Disorganized and rude. Couldn’t give us any consistent information on any of the dogs we asked about. One person said they dog we wanted was adopted but another said they had an application on the dog and said we couldn’t even put in an application despite wanting to find the “best fit” for each animal. You can’t find a best fit using a first come first serve system! I feel bad for the poor animals who get sent to bad homes because of this shelter’s flawed system.
Your able to look at the animals without a form
